I am drawn to the lines in peoples faces, their character, expressions, and interactions. Life inspires me - living a life I want to remember.
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with life and the way people inhabit it. Photography for me became a way to unearth the details, the authentic moments, the chaos and the love - a way to coax life into frames worthy of remembrance.
My intention with imagery is to reflect the way I see and connect with the world, to step outside of myself and collect the bits and pieces of life.
Sara is a visual creative artist - an enthusiastic photographer; specializing in the fields and feels of portrait, commercial and wedding photography. Sara started taking photos professionally at the age of 20 under the name saraspectrum. Since 2015 Sara joined the Whistler Wedding Collective as an associate photographer and filmmaker.
Sara's art also extends past the digital world to more tangible pieces like watercolour, calligraphy and chalk art. This all started when she was a little girl - filling her agendas, notebooks and school books with written words and doodles. Today this tangible art remains in her personal journals as well as the design of logos, branding, books, prints and signage.
The most recent venture in art for Sara started in 2014 when she began the practice of putting this tangible art into skin. Nestled in the mountains and by the sea, as they feed her creativity.
At home in the mountains, connected to the forest, in love with the wild.
I am inspired by all things west coast. I try to create pieces that are slightly raw and untamed, to bring an element of wild love and natural beauty to your home. My artwork varies from large macramé backdrops or installations, to textured weavings and original dreamcatchers. Whenever possible I try to incorporate little pieces of nature into my art; feathers, bark, flowers, and mimic the natural textures nature has so beautifully created.
Robyn Savage dreams up big ideas and brings them to life. As a soulful entrepreneur, she runs a successful event planning company that allows her to visualize and execute stunning weddings for clients all over the world. Her role as Owner and Creative Director at Blue Violet Events has taught her the value of human relationships, strong communication, dedication to seeing plans through from “vision to reality”, and most importantly - the value of taking the risk to become your own boss to create a life you love!
Robyn has a clear, vivid, purposeful dream to provide women with the tools required to become leaders of their own lives. If she could create a life she loved, surely every woman was capable of doing the same - getting heathy, finding love, embracing self-forgiveness, accepting tragic loss, forming cracks in the dark to make space for light, becoming a girlboss, creating abundance, traveling the World. With this in mind, she snuck out of bed on that warm night in June and cuddled up with her journal and a big idea. She masterfully wrote the business plan for what would soon become a global education platform for women. GirlTribe was born!
Soon after, Robyn began hosting events to connect and engage women in their communities, speaking publicly about her journey as a female entrepreneur, teaching women how to manifest and visualize their dreams, and leading GirlTribe Lifestyle Programs to help women optimize their personal health.
Robyn has influenced thousands of women all over the world to rise up as the Goddess of her own Kingdom. Leading by example is Robyn’s favourite form of leadership - less “do as I say” more “see what you can do when you put your mind to it and take inspired action?” Robyn’s engaging and personal style of leadership has attracted thousands of women to join GirlTribe and take ownership of their desires, physical fitness, mental health, goals and relationships.
Robyn is the face of GirlTribe, an advocate for authenticity, a working mama, an adventure seeker, a spirited entrepreneur, a writer and a leader in healthy living. Always striving to find the synergy between give and take, the balance between salad and fries, and the fun in creating joy (for herself and thousands of women) every single day! Robyn is available to lead workshops, provide one-on-one mentorship, and to speak at your next event!
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t wake up feeling blessed – every day of my 15year career as a snowboarder, each moment since becoming a mother, and often for no reason at all. And although it took me a little bit to grasp some personal meaning and direction from a stage 3b breast cancer diagnosis, I still found space in my life to feel incredibly blessed every day. As devastated and scared as I was, deep down I recognized the opportunity to take care of myself in a way I had never known before.
A cancer diagnosis strips youof much more than your breasts and your idea of time here. It brought me to my knees wondering who and what I believed in anymore.
With the help of a team of doctors, I chose a path of treatment for me, and ultimately my children, incorporating both traditional and complementary medicines- both which I chose to believe in. I created a short film about my treatment that quickly turned into a much longer film about my cancer experience called Chasing Sunshine. It’s been my way to share something deepand painful, and how I came out on the other side of the trauma. Somewhere that is bright, hopeful and blessed.
Today I’m the Marketing + Wellness Manager at Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC.org), and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities that arise daily to support others in educating, and navigating the messy, confusing path and gift that is cancer. I feel incredibly privileged to lead retreats that facilitate women’s health and healing on all levels through connecting with each other and nature.
Every day since my diagnosis is a new beginning for me, whether I’m surfing, snowboarding or finding medicine in nature with my kids, now 6 and 11 years of age; I continue to wake up with the sun shining in my grateful heart - taking it all in, for what it is, while I’m here.
Born and raised in the mountains, I have always been drawn to the wilderness and inspired by its raw, natural elements.
When I was little, I would pick leaves off trees and plants while wandering in the woods. From the soft and silky to the rough and prickly, plants have always been a passion of mine.
While traveling the world I experienced the true healing power of plants as medicine, and through a series of fortunate events I was led to study Herbalism at Pacific Rim College in Victoria B.C
My childhood dreams are now becoming my reality as I am starting my own small business back in the mountains of my hometown. The collection of my life experiences have inspired me to create natural, high quality, medicinal herbal products, for internal healing and body care for the untamed spirit.
